Accessible massage therapy for every body.
I mean it: Every. Body. I recognise that many of us struggle in a clinical setting for many reasons, and I strive to provide an inclusive, affirming treatment where you feel safe and cared for.
My intake process aims to collate the appropriate information required prior to the massage, and anything else I need to know will be asked when it’s needed. I am happy to be contacted by text message, Instagram/ Facebook direct messages, email, Zoom or phone - whatever works for you.
As a mobile massage therapist working in your space, you have a lot of control over the experience! In my space at Namami Yoga and Wellness, I keep the lighting low, the noise level at the bare minimum, and use minimal scent (if any!). If you wish to know more, check out my FAQs. It’s important to note that you are always welcome to have a support person in the room if you wish.
When required, I engage in professional supervision. Professional Supervision is a reflective practice that allows practitioners to debrief with a qualified supervisor in a self-reflective process that focuses on theories in practice, ethical issues, self-care, and enhances professional growth.

The lighting, the items of clothing you remove, whether you lay on the table or sit on a chair/ on the floor, the weight and feel of the towels/ sheets I use to drape you, scented or unscented oils/ balm, the depth and scope of touch, the sound in our immediate environment: it’s all up to you.

Massage might be something we’d really like to have, but actually going ahead with it can be triggering. Trauma-aware massage therapy includes the sensory options above, and please note you don’t have to undress to have a massage. You have control over what parts of your body are massaged.
I always discuss with you the treatment plan before we commence, and your consent is crucial. Whilst the information for intake is crucial, how it is obtained is easily adapted to your needs.
I invite you directly to request other options: you may choose to have a video call with me to discuss your needs, or you can provide a drawing of the areas of your body which have the most discomfort, and/ or the areas which feel safest for you.

Providing a non-judgemental, affirming space is one of my key values. Your pronouns are respected.
I have had training with Remedial Massage Therapist Egan Magee who runs Every Body Massage Therapy in Victoria, including how to treat clients who wear binders, and how to best treat clients pre and post surgery.
I recognise that you may wish to avoid treatment of certain areas or request more coverage.

Many of my clients have physical disabilities, and happily adapt the session to accommodate varying needs with positioning and turning.
I have also completed a certificate in Manual Handling, so, if you prefer to lay on the table but have mobility difficulties, I can assist with turning, as well as helping you on and off the table. You are welcome to be treated in a chair or your wheelchair, and I can assist you where needed.
If you are vision- or hearing-impaired, I am happy to assist where needed to ensure you feel that communication is maintained, and you feel supported.
Please note that, unfortunately, the space at Namami is not accessible by wheelchair. I am more than happy to see you in your own space.
